Without Cranlock: Most of your weight is on the pedal on the outside of the bike in relation to the corner, literally dragging your bike off the road leaving you struggling for control and slowing you down.
With Cranklock: The crank is locked to the frame. You decide where most of your weight is. On the inside of the bike in relation to the corner its pushing your tyres down onto the road giving you extra grip to corner safely at speed and allowing you to counter steer your bike like a motorcycle. You can enjoy lean angles and cornering speeds that are simply impossible on a bike without Cranklock.
